Sting 98/99 Girls 2009/10 Season
The end of the 2009/10 season marks the end of the
98/99 team’s third year, and they have continued to grow, learn, and
develop. The girls had a
successful season, starting off with second-place finishes in the
Atlanta Cup, playing U11, and in the Boca Raton Soccer Skills Unlimited
Tournament, where they played up in the U12 premier division.
The team, although a true U11 team, was permitted to play in the
top division of FLUGSA U12.
The girls rose to the challenge, finishing third in league play, and
finishing second in the Playoffs.
Along the way, the team achieved first-place wins at the Disney
Junior Soccer Showcase, playing U11, and in the Weston Invitational,
where they played in the U12 premier division.
To cap off the season, the girls claimed the U11 Region A title,
and finished third in President’s Cup.
We hope to build on this year’s success and make the jump to the
full field next year. While
the girls have worked hard, and consistently shown their dedication and
love of the game, they have also continued to grow in their friendships.
We are looking forward to a great 2010/11 season with a very
special group of girls!
