First Coast U12B wins Region B

The First Coast Academy u12 boys team left no doubt that they were the Region B Cup champions this year. The boys earned a spot into the final four that was played in Merritt Island on March 20-21. The team had to face a talented Central Brevard team that knocked the First Coast team out of the tournament by the score of 3-2 last year. The boys stepped out their play and handed the Central Brevard team an 8-2 loss in the semifinals. This set up a final against a strong FC America team out of Orlando. First Coast did not let off the gas as they were able to end the match early with a 9-1 defeat to be crowned this year's Region B Cup champions.
The First Coast Academy team rolled through the eight game tournament scoring 55 goals and only allowing 8. The team now has it sights on the President's Cup that will be held in Auburndale April 10-11 as the Region B representative. The boys have been having a successful year winning the US Club Regionals, First Coast Labor Day tournament, HCU tournament, West Pines tournament, and winning the NFYSL league playing up in the u13 division. The boys are currently playing in the FSL u13 rotation and continue to seek out the top competition in Florida. This is a very talented team playing in a highly competitive age group.
