Glick and McCarty named Players of the Week

FGCU's Adam Glick and FSU's Tiffany McCarty have been named the Players of the Week. The award goes to the top players from a Florida school for his or her performance over the past week.

Adam Glick, who was named to the 2008 Wolstein Classic All-Tournament Team for his outstanding play, led the Eagles to a 1-1 finish and secured the team a second-place finish in the Bert and Iris Wolstein Classic that also included No. 9 Ohio State, Penn State and University of Central Florida.

“Adam had a very good weekend,” said head coach Bob Butehorn. “He had a hand injury that kept him from getting the games he needed over the summer, but he has worked very hard to get himself sharp again. We expect him to keep progressing, but we’re happy with where he is at this point in the season.”
