COBRAS TOP WESTON

The U13 Cooper City Cobras U13 Girls soccer team finished the FYSA Division I Region Cup on March 15, 2008 as champions. It was the second time these teams met during this competition and the two teams played a well fought match, with the Cobras gaining a victory after two overtime periods.

The game came down to penalty kicks to decide the winner. The Cobras penalty kickers were Alyssa Robinson, Kim Stagg, Lee Stagg, Haley Shurack, and Jessica Villella. All of the Cobras succeeded in finding the back of the net and with the outstanding goalkeeping from the Cobras Briana Saul, the Weston team came up short in the end. After winning the FLUGSA Division I season championship, and the FYSA Region A Cup, the Cooper City Cobras 311 team hopes to complete a season trifecta with the upcoming FYSA President's Cup over the April 5-6 weekend.
