Cooper City Cobras U13 Green win Flugsa Playoffs

The Cooper City Cobras U13 Green Division 1 girls played two outstanding games this weekend at the Plantation Central Park fields. Game one was against the Coral Springs Renegades which the Cobras shut out the Renegades 2-0 off of goals scored by Alyssa "Herbe" Robinson and Jessica "Dillon" Villella. In the finals game against Miami Lakes, the Cobras could not be stopped. In the first half of the game Jessica "Dillon" Villella scored with a header into the goal and Alyssa "Herbe" Robinson made a beautiful penalty shot score in the second half which secured the lead over the Miami Lakes team for the Cobras to take home the trophy. All of the girls played very well. In the offensive positions, Summer Auld, Briana Saul, Alyssa "Herbe" Robinson, and Jessica "Dillon" Villella took strong shots on the goal throughout the two games. In the midfield, Lee Stagg, Shay Fisher, Kim Stagg, Kelly Chmura, Aspen Lee, Nicole Halpin, and Rae Antenucci had precise passes and great first touches on the ball. In defense, Kristina Silva, Gabrielle Wykle, Haley Shurack, Paxtyn Montes, and Kaila Morgan offered strong defensive support allowing only one goal on the Cobras!
