FSU Opens Spring Soccer Schedule At Georgia On Saturday
This will be one of five exhibition contests for the Seminoles this
spring.

Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida State Women’s Soccer team will open its
spring soccer schedule on Saturday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. as the
Seminoles will travel to Athens, Ga., to face the Georgia Bulldogs.
Saturday’s contest will mark the first competition for the Seminoles
since playing Southern California in the national championship game in
College Station, Texas back in December.
Highlighting the 2008 spring roster for the Seminoles is MAC Hermann
Trophy winner Mami Yamaguchi and National Freshmen of the Year Amanda
DaCosta and Sanna Talonen. Florida State will introduce two new freshmen
to the college ranks this weekend in Julie Lancos and Ella Stephan.
Lancos and Stephan arrived on campus in January enrolling early at
Florida State for the spring semester.
The Seminole spring schedule will include matches against Georgia,
Auburn, Florida, UCF and BYU. Florida State will host Florida and BYU in
March and April while traveling to Auburn and Melbourne, Fla. to face
UCF.
