West Pines U12 Girls Win Rare Double at Kickoff Classic

West Pines United U12 Girls captured the rare double championships this past
weekend as they were crowned champions in both the Premiere Division and their second team were champions of the Classic Division of the West Pines Kickoff Classic held over the weekend of Oct 20/21, 2007.

West Pines United, fresh off their previous championship of the Central Florida
Shootout in Orlando 2 weeks ago, captured yet another championship in the
month of October. Their first match was against Plantation Eagles and they came
away with a 3-0 victory. The next match was against Pinecrest Premiere and due to inclement weather, the match was halted minutes after halftime as the scoreless game was called thereby leaving the match recorded as a 0-0 draw. Next up was Jupiter Sting which West Pines United defeated by the scoreline of 1-0. This scenario set the table for the much anticipated rematch between West Pines United and Pinecrest Premiere to decide the championship of the Premiere Division.

The final saw a hard fought, tight match that West Pines United came out
victorious by the scoreline of 1-0. This talented team consists of Ciara Keane,
Guiselle Melendez, Alexander Wassong-Fernandez, Chandler Precht, Tabatha
Gonzalez, Nicole Kinsey, Bridget Callahan, Alessandra Sant Antonio, Victoria
Pineda, Melanie Monteagudo, Ariana Fontenot & Alessandra Salazar. Head Coach Todd Goodman and Assistant Coaches Bobby Salazar and Angelo Sant Antonio.

West Pines United Gold, a new team that was recently formed, stormed through
the competition to capture their first championship in their very first tournament
when they were crowned champions of the Classic Division. West Pines United
Gold's first match of the tournament was against Plantation F-50 which they
won by the scoreline of 9-1. Their second match was against Cooper City and
they were victorious again by the score of 1-0. Up next was Coral Estates which they defeated by the score of 8-0. This set up their final match against Kendall Soccer Coalition to decide the championship of the Classic Division. West Pines United Gold captured the championship with a 3-1 victory. This talented team consists of Jennifer Ocampo, Sarah Adams, Kaylen Sanders, Chelsea Trost, Melissa Carrascal, Carissa Sanchez, Charmenie Esin & Ricki Isaacs.
