Kendall U14 Girls on a Tear

After a successful Score at the Shore tournament, the U-14 Girls team were back this weekend playing 3 games in the Tampa area for the Y-League.

On Saturday in the first game Kendall dispatched Flames FC 7 : 0, the greatest output of offense by Kendall this season. On the same day Kendall played HCU and beat them 4 : 1 on a very hot and muggy afternoon. The offense once again found their rhythm and the defense shut down the HCU offense, allowing only 1 goal.

On Sunday Kendall met up with RSL Florida, both teams play the same style of football, a quick game with lots of touches of the ball. The first half ended with Kendall ahead 1 : 0, in the second half Kendall applying high pressure play and scored a second goal half way into the second have, while the defense did not allow the RSL any room to maneuver shuttting them down, the final score was Kendall 2 RSL 0.

Finishing the weekend with 3 wins, taking them one step closer to the Super Y league National Finals.

Kendall was without Jasmine Patterson who is in California at the National ID camp, the scoring was done by 5 different players Scarlet Montoya 3, Jessica Clark 3, Nicky Zamora 3, Barbara Murillo 2, and Laura Piedrahita 2.
While the mid-fielders controlled the pace and kept the forwards busy, with Cerene Arsenault, Alixandra Fiore, Helenna Hercigonja, and Roxana Pit-Romero. And the defense clamped down on the oppositions offense allowing a single goal this weekend, with Dasha Munoz, Alexia Clark, Heather Williams and captain Katrina Seidenthal, not to be left out, outstanding jobs by keepers Kelley Struyf and Vannesa Angel.
