Sun Sports To Televise Seminole
Soccer Games In 2007
Fans can catch four games on Sun Sports this year.
Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida State University announced Tuesday, July 31
that four Seminole soccer games will be televised live on Sun Sports in
2007. Three of the games will be held at the Seminole Soccer Complex
with all those coming against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. The
lone away match will be held in Gainesville pitting the Seminoles
against their intra-state rival, the Florida Gators.
The Seminoles will kick-off their television debut on Sunday, September
9 when they travel to face Florida. Game time is slated for 1:30 pm at
James G. Pressly Stadium. Last year, both squads squared-off on Sun
Sports as FSU won 1-0 in front of a school- record crowd of 4,582 in
Tallahassee.
The three remaining broadcasts will occur at the Seminole Soccer Complex
with the first game shown on Sunday, September 30 as Florida State
welcomes NC State to Tallahassee for a 1:00 pm kickoff. The Seminoles
showdown against Boston College on Sunday, October 14 as well as with
Miami on Sunday, October 21 will all be shown live on Sun Sports. Times
for both games against the Eagles and Hurricanes are set for 1:00 pm.
The Miami game will also be ‘Senior Day’ at the complex as Florida State
will honor its 2007 senior class before the final home game of the
regular season.
Both games against Boston College and Miami will be shown statewide on
Sun Sports, while the games against Florida and NC State will be shown
in the North and Central Florida markets only.
Sun Sports can be found in Tallahassee on Comcast channel 28 and
nationally on DirecTV channel 632.
The Florida State soccer team will get its first live action of the 2007
season in an exhibition game at Jacksonville University on Friday,
August 24 before kicking off the ’07 regular season schedule on the road
at Portland on Saturday, September 1.
