the road

Schulz Academy’s Super Y League teams are on course to defend their
number 1 position in Florida in the Super Y League.
The club came back with 5 wins, and one loss from their trip at the
weekend to Orlando and Tampa.
On Saturday the U15 Schulz Academy beat their counterpart of Orlando FC
4-1 at Sylvan Lake Park in Sanford. Although 4 players were on National
Team duties, the team controlled the game, and especially in the second
half the 3 points never were in danger.
Kevin McEntee (2), Francisco Moreno, and Kevin Arellanna scored for
Schulz Academy.
At the same time the U16 team continued their unbeaten run with a 3-2
victory against one of the rivals for a spot at the National Finals.
Reginald Phelps and Jabari Garibaldi scored the goals for Schulz
Academy.
In another impressive performance the U14 Schulz Academy team beat
Orlando FC 5-1.
Especially in the second half the team showed their class. The first
half was very close after Orlando FC converted a penalty for the 1-0
lead. 3 goals by Felipe Noguerol, and one goal each by Mauro Bondi, and
captain Daniel Henderson led at the end to a comfortable victory.
Two solid performances of the U20’s brought home another 6 points from
the weekend trip for Schulz Academy teams. On Saturday Kyle McEntee
scored the only goal of the match vs. Orlando FC. Leyson Cuella (2),
Gabe Taboada and Matt Mobley scored for the Schulz Academy the goals in
Sunday’s victory over HC United. The U20 players showed their toughness
coming back twice from behind to win the game.
The U17 team lost on Saturday morning in Tampa 2-1 vs. RSL. Gregory Edma
converted a perfect cross from Kyle McEntee after trailing already 2-0.
Although the ball in the last 15 minutes was 80% close or in the box of
the Tampa team RSL deserved the win by converting their only 2 chances
to 2 goals.
“Overall it was a very satisfying trip to Orlando and Tampa. Playing the
top teams of this strong soccer area and returning with 15 out of 18
points is more than I expected. With an overall 14 wins to 2 losses
record for the start of the Super Y League I think we positioned
ourselves very good for this year’s Super Y League season. Our goal this
year is to finish in the top 3 clubs in the country”, says Dr. Josef
Schulz, founder of the Schulz Academy.
