Ormond Beach Apollo Wins at Seminole Invitational

The Ormond Beach Apollo Boys Under 16 Soccer Team ended their 2006/2007 season winning the 29th Annual Seminole Invitational Soccer Tournament over Memorial Day weekend.

Once again, the boys played an attractive style of ball possession soccer that drew compliments from opposing coaches and on-lookers throughout the tournament. They ended with a 4-1 record, beating West Pines in the Semi-Final 3-2 and GOU of Osceola in the Finals with a score of 2-0. The team outscored their opponents 13 to 4 throughout the tournament.

The Apollo United is a Boys State-Cup Team affiliated with the Ormond Beach Soccer Club. The team is under the leadership of Coach Juan Arrieta. Players come from the cities of Deland, Ormond Beach, Flagler Beach, Ocala and Port Orange.

Apollo ended their 2006-2007 season with a record of 18-6-2 and an overall record of 49-18-12.
