Fury Win Two State Cup Titles

The Weston Fury U13 Boys and Girls have been crowned as the Florida State Champions having both won their respective titles in Ft. Myers, Florida.

The U13 Boys coached by Alvin James saw off Tampa Knights Futbol Club (RSL) 2-0 and the U13 Girls coached by Aguinaldo "Gui Gui" Ferreira beat local rival Miami Lakes 2-1.

The road to these titles has been magnificent with the Fury setting the pace as a leader in Florida. Weston entered 13 teams into State Cup with an impressive 10 moving through rounds 1 and 2 and onto the sweet sixteen. From those 10 teams 7 advanced to the quarter finals.

The final four saw 4 teams representing Weston, U13 boys and U13, U15 and U17 girls with the U13 boys, U13 and U15 girls all making it to the championship games. From this the two state titles were secured.

Weston's two championships matched two other clubs as the best performance in the state.
