PBU Annouces Two Coaching Changes

JOHN WEBB NAMED AS HEAD COACH OF THE PALM BEACH UNITED FC 92/93 GIRLS SOCCER TEAM

Brad Partridge, Palm Beach United FC Coaching Director, has announced the search for a new head coach for the 92/93 Girls team has ended. John Webb will coach the team for the 2007/2008 season.

Webb came to PBU from Northwood University, where he spent four years as the Women's head coach for the Seahawks. Prior to Northwood Webb spent eight years as the Women’s head coach with the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish. While coaching at the college level, Webb was named the; NAIA Florida Sun Conference Coach of the Year four times, NAIA Region XIV Coach of the Year four times and the NSCAA National College Coach of the Year Finalist four times.

Prior to his college coaching career Webb spent 12 years coaching for Lake Worth High School where he was named the Sun-Sentinel High School Coach of the Year and the High School Conference Coach of the Year.
 
TAMMY MAZZA NAMED AS HEAD COACH OF THE PALM BEACH UNITED FC U13 GIRLS SOCCER TEAM

Mazza will move from the PBU 92/93 girl’s team where she spent the last two seasons coaching them to two of their most successful seasons.

Mazza came to PBU from Florida Institute of Technology, where she spent the two years as the Women's head coach for the Panthers. Prior to FIT Mazza spent four years as an assistant coach with the Florida Atlantic Fighting Owls. Before FAU, she was an assistant coach at the University of Southern Mississippi for the 1997 and 1998 seasons. While at Southern Mississippi, Mazza helped the program become one of the NCAA's top five best Division I start-up programs.

Mazza is also currently a staff coach for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the Florida Youth Soccer Association.

Professionally, Mazza played for the Tampa Bay Extreme in the "W" League.
Mazza played for Lynn University and helped them capture the 1992 NAIA National Championship. She graduated from Lynn in 1994 with a BS in Education. Mazza earned her MS in Sports Administration and Coaching from Southern Mississippi.

Mazza holds a NSCAA National and Advance National Coaching Diplomas and the USSF "C" License.
